Frequently Asked Questions

We get asked a lot of the same questions by families and couples before they book, so we’ve pulled the most common ones together here. From when the studio is open to what to wear or when you’ll get your photos back, these answers should give you a clear idea of what to expect. General Studio FAQs

  • Where is the studio, and is there parking?

    We’re at 7 Old Dun Leary Road, Dún Laoghaire, A96 HF51, a short walk from Salthill & Monkstown DART. There’s on-street parking close by.

  • When is the studio open for portraits?

    Only during our open weeks. In 2027 those are 18–24 January, 26 April – 2 May, 28 June – 4 July and 4–10 October. Sessions run at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, seven days a week. Prices and booking are on our Prices page.

  • How long is a session?

    Long enough that nobody feels rushed. We take breaks, try a few set-ups and go at your family’s pace.

  • What if we need to reschedule?

    You can move your portrait session once, to the next open week, as long as you let me know at least 14 days before. Your €200 deposit isn’t refundable, but it moves with you to your new date.

  • Do you sell gift vouchers?

    Yes. Gift vouchers are studio credit, available in a range of amounts, and valid for five years. You still book with the €200 deposit, and the credit comes off your balance. Anything left over can go towards an upgrade or extra. Older vouchers keep their full value.

  • Do you offer hair and makeup services?

    We don’t provide them directly, but we’re happy to recommend trusted local stylists who understand our photography style.

Family, Baby & Pet FAQs

  • What should we wear or bring to the photoshoot?

    Keep it simple and comfortable. Neutral tones and timeless styles photograph beautifully. We’ll guide you in advance, and we always encourage bringing one or two meaningful items — a favourite toy, a baby blanket, even the family dog.

    Don’t worry though, we’ll be sending you a full info guide before your session.

  • Can grandparents, extended family or the dog join?

    Absolutely, at no extra cost. Just let me know who’s coming when we have our planning call.

  • When will I receive my photos?

    Your private gallery arrives within four weeks of your session.

  • How much does a session cost?

    There are three fixed bundles: Essentials €795, Signature €1,095 and Heirloom €1,695. They’re the same for families, new babies and pets. You book with a €200 deposit and pay the balance 14 days before your session. That’s the whole cost.

  • Is there a viewing or sales appointment afterwards?

    No. Your gallery arrives online and you choose your favourites at home. If you want more images, you can upgrade or add them at fixed prices. Nobody will pitch them to you.

  • How do new baby bookings work?

    Book with your due date and a €200 deposit. I’ll hold your place in the first open week that starts at least 10 days after your due date, and the balance is due 14 days before that week starts. If your baby arrives too late for it, we’ll move you to the next open week.

Wedding FAQs

  • Will you pose us, or is it documentary style?

    Our approach is relaxed and documentary-led. We don’t stage moments or ask you to “do that again.” We blend in with your guests, capturing the real connections as they happen.
    We focus on the real moments as they unfold, with just enough time set aside for any family, couple or group shots you would like. As many or as few as feel right for you.

  • Do you offer albums and wall art?

    Yes. Most of our wedding packages session includes the option of bespoke, handcrafted albums and wall art.

  • When will I receive my photos?

    Wedding galleries are typically delivered within 4–6 weeks. We also offer express delivery options.

  • What is your cancellation policy for weddings?

    Your deposit secures your date and is non-refundable, but we’ll always do our best to help if plans change.
