Pre-Photoshoot Info
Where is the studio located?
We’re located at 7 Old Dun Leary Road, Dun Laoghiare, Co. Dublin A96HF51. If you put the Eircode into Google Maps, It’ll take you straight to the front door. We’re also a 4 minute walk from Salthill/Monkstown Dart Station.
Where can I park?
Unfortunately, we don’t have any parking spaces but on-street parking is available very close to the studio. We would suggest either parking on Cumberland Street (or Longford Terrace (both free on Sundays).
What should I wear?
Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Don’t feel like you have to dress ‘smart. Relaxed and casual clothing works perfectly well. Unless you wear them regularly, starched shirts or your ‘Sunday best’ will feel too formal and make it harder for you to relax. The most important thing is to be yourself and feel comfortable. I would, however, advise against stripes or strong patterns as they tend to draw the eyes away from faces.
For babies, keep it simple. Simple baby vests, a romper, or even just a nappy will show off their soft skin and gorgeous baby rolls. I usually advise to Avoid brand logos and cartoon characters as they will date the images in years to come. Please avoid shirts with collars as they might cover your baby’s face.
for a more comprehensive answer to this, we’ve written a whole blog post about this HERE
What should I bring for kids?
Feel free to bring snacks for the kids as we can take breaks during the shoot if needed.
If your kids have ‘A special item’ then definitely bring it along. this can be their current favorite small toy etc. For little ones, their favorite teddy or toy/book can really help them feel comfortable in front of the camera. Anything that will help them feel relaxed. for older kids / teens they sometimes brings something special with them that they want to incorporate into the session (musical instrument, sports item etc).
What should I bring for Pets?
Same answer as for kids. Anything that will comfort them but please do bring their favorite “reward treats”.
What should I expect during the photoshoot?
We’ll start off with a cup or tea or coffee and a quick chat. Then we’ll move through different parts of the studio floor doing different combinations of photos and set ups. It’ll be a chill vibe, there’s no set amount of photos we need to get and we’re happy to go at your pace.
What Happens then?
After the photoshoot we’ll take a short break (20 mins or so). We’ll then go into the Design consultation room for you to see your images for the first time. We’ll then take a little bit of time to select your favourites and work together to create something special for you walls. The design consultation will take about 30 minutes.
When the design consulation is over, we’ll takE your order collect payment) & set a date for collection.
